Print Bleed Calculator
This calculator helps you determine the correct size for your design file, including bleed, to ensure professional print results without white edges.
- Final Trimmed Size: The exact dimensions of your finished print product (e.g., 3.5 x 2 inches for a business card).
- Bleed: An extra margin of your design that extends beyond the trim edge. This gets cut off, ensuring color goes to the very edge.

Important Printing Tips:
- Always ensure your **backgrounds and images extend fully into the bleed area**.
- Keep **important text and graphics within the 'safe zone'** (usually 0.125-0.25 inches *inside* the trim line) to avoid them being cut off.
- When exporting your file, choose **PDF/X-1a** for best print results, and ensure 'trim marks' or 'crop marks' are selected, but *not* 'bleed marks' as the bleed is already part of your artwork.
