How to Use the ETF Data Viewer & Analyzer

This tool helps you view, filter, sort, and compare ETF data that you provide.

1. Data Format:

Paste your ETF data into the textarea on the "ETF Data & Screener" tab. Each ETF should be on a new line, with values separated by commas in the following order:

TICKER,ETF_NAME,ASSET_CLASS,GEOGRAPHIC_FOCUS,EXPENSE_RATIO(%),AUM,YEAR_TO_DATE_RETURN(%)

  • TICKER: The stock symbol for the ETF (e.g., VOO, NIFTYBEES.NS).
  • ETF_NAME: The full name of the ETF (e.g., Vanguard S&P 500 ETF).
  • ASSET_CLASS: The primary asset class (e.g., US Equity Large Cap, Indian Fixed Income, Global Commodity).
  • GEOGRAPHIC_FOCUS: The main geographic region the ETF targets (e.g., USA, India, Global, Emerging Markets).
  • EXPENSE_RATIO (%): The ETF's expense ratio as a percentage. Enter the number only (e.g., for 0.05%, enter 0.05).
  • AUM (Assets Under Management): The total assets managed by the ETF. Enter as a number. You will specify the unit (e.g., Millions USD, Crores INR) in a separate field. Be consistent with the unit for all entries.
  • YEAR_TO_DATE_RETURN (%): The YTD return as a percentage. Enter the number only (e.g., for 7.2%, enter 7.2).

3. Analyzing Selected ETFs:

  • In the table on the first tab, check the box next to 1 to 3 ETFs you wish to compare in more detail.
  • Click the "Analyze/Compare Selected (Max 3)" button.
  • This will take you to the "Selected ETF Analysis" tab, where you'll see the chosen ETFs side-by-side.
  • Here, you can manually add more notes or specific details for each selected ETF (e.g., Top Holdings, Tracking Index, your personal comments).
